A risk assessment is simply a careful examination of what, in the workplace, could cause harm to people. It enables a weighing up of whether enough precautions are in place or more should be done to prevent harm to those at risk, including workers and members of the public. A well trained Risk Assessor will be able to conduct thoroughly workplace risk assessment and will contribute to the protection of workers by eliminating or minimizing work related hazards and risks. It should also benefit businesses through better organization of working practices potentially increasing productivity.
